URGENT: DEXTER & ROXY NEED A NEW HOME BY 14 OCTOBER 2026!
Meet Dexter and Roxy, two affectionate, joyful dogs from Somerset West in the Western Cape, who urgently need a loving new home together.
Dexter is a 5-year-old male Jack Russell × Beagle, while his younger companion, Roxy, is a 1-year-and-7-month-old female Jack Russell.
Their owner describes them as sweet, sociable and very lovable dogs. Both reportedly get along exceptionally well with children and other dogs, although they are not suitable for a home with cats.
Their owner is relocating abroad, and unfortunately, time is extremely limited.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: Dexter and Roxy must be adopted TOGETHER. Their owner wishes for them to remain a pair, and we are looking for one loving family who can welcome both dogs.

Dexter and Roxy are described as two happy, affectionate dogs with lovely, sociable personalities.
Dexter, with his Jack Russell and Beagle heritage, is the older of the two. At 5 years old, he is looking for a family who will welcome him and his younger companion into their lives.
Roxy, at 1 year and 7 months, is the younger of the pair. She is a young Jack Russell with plenty of life ahead of her.
Their owner describes both dogs as joyful, sweet and very loving.
They reportedly interact exceptionally well with children and other dogs, which may make them suitable for a family home or a household with existing dogs, provided introductions are handled carefully.
What matters most is finding a home where both dogs will receive the attention, companionship and care they need.
🐾 IMPORTANT – THEIR FEEDING ROUTINE
There is one important detail their future family needs to understand.
Dexter and Roxy do not eat their meals together and must always be fed separately.
Each dog should have a separate, peaceful feeding area where they can enjoy their meals without disturbance.
This is a manageable part of their daily care, provided their new family understands and follows the arrangement consistently.

We are looking for a responsible, loving family who can offer Dexter and Roxy a safe, secure and permanent home.
Their ideal home should offer:
- A home for BOTH dogs. They must not be separated.
- A cat-free household, as they are not good with cats.
- A secure garden with suitable fencing.
- Plenty of love, companionship and daily attention.
- Opportunities for regular exercise, play and mental stimulation.
- A family who understands the importance of feeding them separately.
- Careful, supervised introductions to any existing dogs.
- A commitment to providing appropriate veterinary care and meeting both dogs’ lifelong needs.
Their owner reports that they are excellent with children and other dogs. However, as with any adoption, introductions should be handled responsibly.
A family familiar with active, intelligent small breeds would be particularly welcome.
