About Little Doggy Rescue

Little Doggy Rescue is a South African small dog rescue and rehoming organisation, operating as part of the SA Yorkie Rescue (SAYR) rescue network. We help owners across Gauteng, Cape Town, Durban, and KwaZulu-Natal find safe, loving homes for their small breed dogs through our cage-free, home-to-home rehoming process.

Our Mission

We believe every small dog deserves a safe, loving home. Since 2023, we have been helping South African pet owners rehome their small dogs without the stress and trauma of a kennel environment. Our home-to-home rehoming model means dogs stay in their home environment until we find the perfect adopter, ensuring a stress-free transition.

Our Network

Little Doggy Rescue is proudly part of the SA Yorkie Rescue (SAYR) network, alongside SA Yorkie Rescue (sayr.co.za), SA Yorkie Rescue Gauteng (yorkierescue.co.za), French Bulldog Rescue South Africa (frenchbulldogrescue.co.za), and Lost Dogs South Africa (lostdogs.co.za).

This rescue network has helped thousands of dogs find loving homes across all nine provinces of South Africa.

How Our Home-to-Home Rescue Works

Little Doggy Rescue does not operate as a public shelter. Where appropriate, dogs stay with their current families while we create a profile, review potential adopters, arrange screening and support a safe introduction. The owner remains part of the process and approves the proposed match.
