🚨 URGENT BONDED PAIR: LADY & ELLIE NEED URGENT ADOPTION 🚨
Location: Rayton, Pretoria | Urgency: Immediate (Owner Immigrating)
Lady and Ellie are more than just housemates; they are each other’s support system. Both rescued from backgrounds of neglect and abuse, they have formed an inseparable bond. To ensure their emotional stability, we are looking for a special home that will adopt them together.
While our absolute priority is keeping them as a pair, we may consider separate homes only if there is another compatible dog “mate” in the new home to ensure they aren’t alone.
🐾 Meet the Duo
- Breed: Jack Russell x Yorkie Mixes
- Weight: Approx 4kg each (Petite)
- Health: Both very healthy. Lady is sterilized; Ellie’s sterilization is booked and will be completed prior to rehoming.
🏠 Their Ideal Home
The girls are looking for a “Soft Place to Land” where they can continue to heal and thrive.
- The Environment: A quiet, predictable home (farm or garden) where they can feel secure.
- The Family: An adult-only household or one with older, patient children.
- The Rules: Strictly no cats. * The Support: Someone who understands “rescue dog” patience—especially for Ellie, who is fearful of brooms and sudden movements.
☀️ The Perfect Day for Lady & Ellie
Morning: The day starts with a “double greeting.” Lady will wiggle her way in for snuggles, while Ellie will gently nudge your hand with her wet nose for a belly rub. They take their cues from each other—if Lady feels safe, Ellie knows she is safe too.
Midday: The “Explorer Hour.” They love wandering the garden or farm together. Lady takes the lead, acting as the alert “lookout” for mice, while Ellie follows closely behind. Seeing them navigate the world as a team is a joy to watch.
Afternoon: Relaxing by the dam or in a sunny patch of grass. They aren’t demanding dogs; they just want to be near their humans. They are happiest when they can see you and each other.
Evening: After a day of farm life, they settle down into their beds (which will go with them). They are house-trained and content to spend the evening being the ultimate lap dogs. There is a deep peace in the house when these two are tucked in for the night.
💬 A Note from the Owner
“Lady and Ellie are survivors. They have leaned on each other through the darkest times of their lives, and seeing them happy together is what keeps me going. Because of our immigration, I need to know they have each other to lean on in their new home. They have so much love to give—they just need one heart big enough to hold them both.”🌸
