Mina is a beautiful 2-year-old Jack Russell Terrier in urgent need of an only-dog home. She is healthy, affectionate, and deeply bonded to her people. Mina has never shown aggression toward humans and is exceptionally loving with adults and children alike.
Due to ongoing inter-dog aggression in a multi-dog household, Mina now needs a carefully matched home where she can thrive as the sole canine companion.
Personality & Temperament
Mina is an intelligent, people-oriented Jack Russell who forms strong emotional bonds with her family. She enjoys close physical contact, seeks reassurance from her humans, and relaxes beautifully in calm, predictable environments.
She is:
- Affectionate and emotionally connected
- Confident, bold, and environmentally alert
- Highly people-focused
- Gentle and loving in low-arousal settings
Mina thrives with structure, routine, and one-on-one attention, where she can fully shine without pressure from other animals.
Behaviour Notes
Mina must be the only dog in her future home.
- She has a history of littermate syndrome and early-onset inter-dog aggression
- This behaviour has escalated into bite-and-hold incidents with other dogs
- She struggles to disengage once over-aroused
- Trigger situations include feeding times, sudden noises, busy transitions, or other dogs interfering with her fetch play

She is not suitable for homes with other dogs. Due to her high prey drive, a cat-free home is recommended.

- A big fan of fetch (prefers exclusive play with her humans)
- Quiet for a Jack Russell, though she will bark at birds
She sleeps on the bed with her family and loves basking in the sun.

Mina is currently still with her owner and is being kept safely separated from other dogs to maintain peace. This is not a long-term solution, and an urgent placement is needed to ensure her wellbeing and safety.
