Adopt a Beagle MacKenzie
MacKenzie is a 5 year old female Beagle, who just loves people and attention. She is friendly and social and everyone who meets her just loves her.
This Beagle girl, is very well disciplined and has enjoyed going to puppy school for training. She knows not to jump on the furniture, and is fully housetrained. She is also able to be home alone during the day. Even though she can swim, she is not fond of the water.
MacKenzie has always been the only dog in the home, and does tend to be dominant to other female dogs when meeting them. She is choosy which canine she will befriend.
While she adores her current family, the recent addition of young children has created an adjustment challenge for her. As many dogs do, she’s finding it difficult to adapt to sharing attention and space with toddlers. To ensure both MacKenzie’s happiness and the children’s safety, her family believes she would flourish in a home with older children (teens) who understand dog body language and can give her the gentle, patient interaction she needs. MacKenzie is a wonderful companion who simply needs the right environment to shine..
She loves car rides, and will quickly want to jump in if a car door is opened.
