Meet Boeing & Cessna – A Bonded Pekingese Pair Looking for a Home Together
Boeing and Cessna are two male Pekingese boys in De Hoewes, Centurion, who are looking for a loving new home together.
Boeing is 8 years old and Cessna is 3. They have their own individual personalities, but one thing is very clear: these two boys are deeply bonded and cannot be separated.
Cessna is curious, affectionate and very lovable, while Boeing can initially be a little shy and wary but warms up when treated kindly. Boeing also experiences separation anxiety and feels particularly secure when Cessna is close by.
They would be best suited to a home where someone is home for much of the day, such as a work-from-home household, with secure fencing and a calm environment where they can settle in together.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT BOEING
Boeing is the older of the two boys. He can be a little shy and wary initially, but he warms up when approached gently and kindly.
Boeing has only one eye following an accident when a much larger Labrador was playing with him and he was accidentally pushed against a tree.
Despite losing his eye, Boeing is comfortable getting around with one eye and has adapted well.
Understandably, the experience has left him more cautious around other dogs. He does, however, feel safe and secure with Cessna, which is another important reason these boys need to stay together.
Boeing also experiences separation anxiety. When he feels frightened or anxious, he has a very particular way of comforting himself – he sucks on his blanket.
His familiar blanket should therefore go with him to his new home and will be especially valuable while he adjusts.
Boeing is also a vocal little character and loves barking.
He can be an escape risk too. If he gets out, his curiosity can take over and he may continue running while someone tries to catch him.
IMPORTANT: Boeing needs secure, escape-proof fencing and careful management around gates and doors.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT CESSNA
Three-year-old Cessna is described as curious, affectionate and very lovable.
Cessna previously had what was believed to have been a fall. He recovered well and is otherwise doing fine, but the experience seems to have made him cautious about jumping down or climbing down stairs.
He may hesitate or refuse when faced with going downstairs, so a home where he does not regularly need to navigate lots of stairs would make life easier for him.
His hesitation should be respected rather than forcing him to jump or climb down when he is uncomfortable doing so.
LIFE WITH BOEING & CESSNA
These boys have several familiar belongings that can accompany them to help make the move into their new home a little easier:
- their beds and blankets
- a few toys
- their bowls
- their winter jackets
Boeing’s own blanket is particularly important because he uses it for comfort when he is anxious or frightened.
Although Boeing and Cessna are five years apart in age and have different personalities, their bond with one another is a central part of who they are.
Cessna provides Boeing with a sense of safety and familiarity, and they need a family who genuinely wants to welcome them both.
🏡 BOEING & CESSNA’S IDEAL HOME
Boeing and Cessna would do particularly well in a household where someone works from home or is home for much of the day.
This would provide them with the companionship they enjoy while also helping Boeing, who struggles with separation anxiety.
Their ideal home should offer:
- A commitment to adopting Boeing and Cessna together
- Someone home for much of the day, ideally a work-from-home household
- Secure, escape-proof fencing
- Careful management around gates and open doors
- No cats
- Preferably no unfamiliar dogs, as Boeing is wary of other dogs
- A home where Cessna does not regularly need to climb down lots of stairs
- Patience while both boys settle into their new surroundings
- Plenty of companionship and gentle interaction
They would be better suited to a home with older/bigger children rather than very young children.
Small children who may want to pick them up or carry them around would not be the right match for these boys. They need children who are old enough to understand how to interact with small dogs gently and respectfully.
IMPORTANT: Boeing and Cessna are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.
❤️ WHY DO BOEING & CESSNA NEED A NEW HOME?
Their owner is awaiting confirmation about a possible move to the United States and, heartbreakingly, would not be able to afford to take both dogs along if the move goes ahead.
For now, Boeing and Cessna remain safely with their owner while Little Doggy Rescue looks for a suitable home where they can stay together.
Little Doggy Rescue follows a home-to-home adoption model, helping dogs move from one loving home to another without being placed in kennels.
Home-to-Home Adoptions • No kennels. Ever.
ABOUT THE PEKINGESE
Pekingese are small companion dogs that can form strong relationships with their people. Individual personalities differ, but many enjoy being close to their family and involved in everyday home life.
Their compact build, long coats and flat faces also mean owners should pay attention to grooming, heat, healthy weight and comfortable handling.
With Boeing and Cessna, their individual history, personalities and bond with one another are more important than general breed characteristics when considering whether they are the right match for your family.
