A LITTLE MORE ABOUT BUDDY
Buddy is a loving little companion who enjoys being close to his people.
His owner describes him as playful, sweet and sociable, with a real love for cuddles. He isn’t simply a dog who lives in the household – he’s very much part of the family!
Buddy loves going for walks and enjoys having his own toys to play with. He also has a cosy basket and jackets, which will go along with him to his new home.
Like many little dogs who like to keep an eye on their surroundings, Buddy occasionally barks when he notices movement. This is something his new family should be comfortable with.
Most importantly, Buddy thrives on love and companionship and would enjoy being included in family activities.
BUDDY’S IDEAL HOME
Buddy is looking for a family who will welcome him as a much-loved member of the household.
His ideal home would offer:
- Older children rather than small children, as this is what Buddy is accustomed to.
- Plenty of affection, cuddles and companionship.
- Regular walks, playtime and opportunities to enjoy his toys.
- A home without a dominant male dog.
- A family who understands that he may occasionally bark when he notices movement.
- A safe, secure environment where he can settle comfortably into family life.
Buddy generally gets along with other dogs, although he does not do well with dominant males. Any potential doggy companions should be carefully matched, with gentle introductions.
His reaction to cats is unknown, so suitability for a home with cats cannot be confirmed.
Above all, Buddy needs people who genuinely enjoy having a little companion close by and who will make him feel included, loved and secure.
WHY DOES BUDDY NEED A NEW HOME?
Buddy’s owner is relocating to Australia and, sadly, cannot take him along.
This is an emotional decision, as Buddy is a cherished member of the family. His owner hopes to find a home where he will continue receiving the love, kindness and care he has always known.
Buddy remains with his owner in Rustenburg while a suitable new family is found.

A LITTLE ABOUT THE PEKINGESE BREED
The Pekingese is a small companion breed, often known for its affectionate nature, distinctive appearance and strong attachment to its family.
Pekingese dogs generally benefit from regular grooming, gentle exercise and a comfortable indoor environment. Because of their short noses, care should be taken during hot weather and strenuous activity.
Every dog is an individual, and Buddy’s own personality, preferences and needs should guide his care.
