1. Personality & Traits

Peanut is a happy, affectionate little dog who truly thrives on companionship. His absolute favourite thing in the world is his tennis ball — especially when it bounces off a wall. He will happily invite anyone to play, even walking up to strangers and gently offering them the ball.

He is:

  • Excellent with children, especially those who enjoy playing ball with him
  • Very friendly, loving, and people-focused
  • Social with other dogs
  • Calm and cuddly during quiet moments, often choosing to lie close to his person
  • A big fan of car rides, happiest with his head out the window
  • Fond of beach walks on leash and has a reliable recall when off leash

Peanut enjoys both playtime and relaxed companionship — making him a wonderful all-round companion.

2. Training & Home Habits

Peanut is fully housetrained, although he may have an accident if left alone inside for extended periods. He sleeps in his own bed in the bedroom and is well settled into home life.

He understands the following commands:

  • “Sit”
  • “Come”
  • “Where’s the ball?” (his absolute favourite)
  • “Go outside”
  • “Lay in your bed”

3. Special Requirements / Ideal Home

Peanut struggles with separation anxiety and becomes distressed when left home alone, as he is used to having his people around during the day. With his family now working full-time in the office, Peanut is finding it difficult to cope.

His ideal home would be:

  • One where someone is home most of the day (work-from-home, retired, or semi-retired)
  • Calm, loving, and understanding of senior dogs
  • Willing to offer companionship rather than long hours alone

He gets along well with other dogs. His reaction to cats is unknown.

Peanut is a devoted little soul who simply wants to be near his people, play ball, and share quiet moments together. In the right home, he will be an incredibly loving and loyal companion.
