A Note from the New Family
“Gucci has settled in beautifully. It took her about four weeks to feel at home, but since then she’s been the star of the show. She’s the first dog in our friend group, and everyone absolutely loves her. She comes along to brunches, braais, and even the beach!
At first, she was shy and a little confused, but I kept her with me everywhere for the first month, and that really helped her adjust. Now her true personality shines — she’s bold, playful, and unbelievably loyal to me.
When she arrived, she was overweight, but she’s slimmed down to a healthy weight, which the vet is very happy with. She did have a luxating patella and torn ligaments which required surgery. Thankfully, the operation went well, and she’s now back to running and jumping with us.
If I could go back, I’d choose her over and over again — adopting Gucci is truly one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time.”
